Perception of authenticity
AI can now generate images and videos that people cannot reliably tell from real recordings. How well does human perception hold up against synthetic media, and what do viewers rely on when they judge authenticity?
Visual technology
Digital displays and wearable optics can cause discomfort. Understanding why, and designing around it, draws directly on what we know about basic vision.
